Quarter Striking Twin Fusee Lantern Clock
A twin fusee quarter striking nineteenth century lantern clock, with a good quality movement striking on 2 bells.
The design of the lantern clock dates back to the 17th century, when they were weight driven 30hour clocks mounted on the wall. The style of clock remained popular throughout the nineteenth century when many were converted to 8 day fusee movements.
