Cartier Alarm Clock
A Cartier Les Must Alarm Clock in an oval enamel and gold plated frame. The enamel giving the appearance of polished burr walnut, with cabochon jewelled setting nuts, resting on a strut back with the distinctive Cartier ‘C’ forming the feet.
The oval design of this clock is based on the classic Cartier Baignoire watch from the 1920’s. This clock is in “as new” or mint condition having never been used by the previous owner.
Louis-François Cartier founded Cartier in Paris in 1847 when he took over the workshop of his master, Adolphe Picard, In 1874, Louis-François' son Alfred Cartier took over the company, but it was Alfred's sons Louis, Pierre, and Jacques who established the brand name worldwide.
This Swiss made eight day spring driven movement stamped ‘Cartier a Paris’ and numbered 750918459 comes with it’s original paperwork.
